Academic researchers at the Universities of Birmingham and Oldenburg have conducted a research project about the experience of ex-military personnel within the prison service.

We ran two surveys, for current and former prison staff, asking about career in the prison system, any military service, and the role of ex-military personnel in UK prisons.

The surveys have now closed, and we are working on data analysis.
